Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Principal Catering Manager, this role will be responsible for duties relevant to catering and food service operations.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering and setting up catering food orders in a timely manner
Picking up catering orders when event has ended
Stocking and cleaning work area
Organizing and transferring food to delivery truck or van
Preparing high volume of beverages, snacks, and dessert trays
Serving customers on a buffet, tray pass for breakfast, lunch, appetizers, snacks, and dinner
Adhering to all safety and sanitation procedures as outlined by JC and HACCP standards
Salary Range: $19.47-$23.71 Hourly
Job Qualifications

CA Driver's License (subject to DMV Pull)
Ability to drive university delivery truck and/or van to delivery locations.
Knowledge and skills in food service operations and catering experience is a plus.
Certified Food Handler is preferred.
Ability to read and write, follow oral and written instructions in English language.
Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time, stretch, stoop, bend, climb, and reach repetitively.
Ability to work in hot, cold, and or wet areas; and lift, push, or pull at least 50lbs.
Basic catering skills including delivering, setting up food, sit-down service, buffet service, pre-plating food, and assisting with espresso cart.
Knowledge of basic safety and sanitation requirements
Basic mathematical skills to ensure accuracy.
Ability to interact with both internal and external customers in a high-volume operation, with professionalism, diplomacy, and patience.
