The Principal Program Manager (PPM) - Vertical Transportation is a subject matter expert (SME) reporting to the Senior Principal Program Manager (SPPM) - Facilities Support. This position develops and implements strategic programs designed to maintain Whole Foods store vertical transportation (VT) systems operating continuously and flawlessly.
VT systems include, but are not limited to elevators, escalators, moving walkways, dumbwaiters, service elevators and cartveyors. Programs include design standards for new construction, modernization support, emergency repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and jurisdictional compliance. This position will be based out of the WFM Northeast Area Operational Support Office located in Jersey City, NJ and applicants who are able to relocate will be considered. This position may require up to 40% travel or more dependent on project needs.
Responsibilities:
The role involves the development and implementation of effective Vertical Transportation (VT) programs in collaboration with the SPPM - Facilities Support and Senior Team Leaders of Facilities Maintenance Operations. This includes designing standards, providing modernization support, emergency repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and ensuring jurisdictional compliance.
Additionally, the responsibility extends to conducting VT program training for day-to-day facilities Repair and Maintenance (R&M) field execution teams, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, and maintaining an understanding of relevant ASME or ANSI standards. The position demands swift action-based responses and timely communication during system downtimes, with a focus on root cause analyses for corrective actions. Long-term solutions and strategies for critical equipment and components, overseeing contractors, and ensuring safe operational and maintenance procedures are also part of the role.
The creation and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance suppliers, compliance programs, and support in cost reduction while enhancing Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations are integral components. Active participation in 3rd party provider reviews, staying updated on VT technology, and ensuring support team performances align with best practices complete the responsibilities of the position.

Additionally, the proficiency extends to Verisae and Corrigo CMMS Work Order Systems, along with expertise in utilizing Procore for building plans and discipline documentation.

Education, Experience, and Requirements
BA/BS degree and 10+ years VT field service-level technician experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience
Ability to physically perform general office requirements and those required on construction site with or without reasonable accommodations.
The wage range for this position is $98,278.63 - $132,676.15 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
