Job Summary:
This Enterprise Architect role will play a critical role in driving transformation by applying Enterprise Architecture practices and collaborating with our technical experts across our organization to make our most strategic and critical projects successful, with a focus on ensuring our that our Configuration Management Database is accurate, relevant, and relied upon as a source of truth.
Architecture Development
Develop & maintain the CMDB Strategy and associated roadmap
Collaborate with the users of the CMDB to provide technical guidance, and assist with capturing all necessary business, functional and technical requirements necessary to ensure that the CMDB is fit for purpose
Oversee, coordinate and lead the planning, design and implementation of a central CMDB for Enterprise Technology
Support key projects that are reliant on the CMDB, such as Asset Management, Software Rationalization, Service Portfolio Mapping, and DC Resiliency
Data Architecture
Develop & maintain the logical and physical data models for the CMDB to ensure that Enterprise Technology services, applications, software, and infrastructure can all be represented effectively
Plan, design and implement the CMDB taxonomy, processes, policies, procedures, and technology to ensure that the CMDB is integrated into all relevant aspects of Enterprise Technology
Develop guidance, standards, and patterns to ensure that data validity, completeness, consistency, reliability, and integrity
Discovery
Identify, verify, and architect the federation of data that will comprise the CMDB including external sources
Determine the most appropriate methods for discovering each CI class and populating the CMDB
Governance
Develop a range of documentation that describes the data model, the federation of data from external sources, the management and maintenance of the CMDB and the relevant roles and responsibilities, ensuring clear ownership and accountability
Lead ongoing changes and improvements to the CMDB, including getting stakeholder alignment and buyin, and timely execution of technical changes
Conduct maturity assessments and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement in existing CMDB processes
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of CMDB processes
Develop Confidence Metrics to measure the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB data
Regularly report on KPIs to stakeholders, highlighting areas of success and areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of CMDB processes with other IT and business functions
Contribute, coach, and support the IT Service Management teams on CMDB configuration, maintenance, and operation
Experiences, Skills, Training
Required
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience
Experience working in a complex, geographically distributed working environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence engineers, peers, and senior stakeholders to consensus decisions
Extensive experience with ITSM and CMDB implementation in large complex environments
Strong Understanding of ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM platform and Discovery
Experience with ServiceNow CSDM 3.0 or higher
Strong knowledge of IT Asset and CMDB processes and procedures
Preferred
The hiring range for this remote position is $172,000.00 to $230,700.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
