The Engineering Project Feasibility and Product Sourcing Manager in the Asset Health & Future Asset (AHFA) team is responsible for conducting feasibility assessments for capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects in Global Engineering and other parts of the Pharma organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring industry best practices, influencing the time, cost, and quality of CAPEX projects, and supporting efficient project transfers. Reporting to the Head of AHFA, they lead strategic feasibility studies for the PT capital long-range plan and develop a prioritized Capital project portfolio, contributing to the development of an agile and resilient Asset Network.

The Opportunity:

• You are optimizing product launch site/sourcing decisions and capital expenditures to align with the Pharma long-range plan.

• You are evaluating CAPEX requirements for product launches, transfers, and investments, making recommendations for optimal capital investments.

• You are collaborating with various stakeholders to prepare CAPEX business cases supporting sourcing and investment decisions.

• You are setting the strategy for implementing Global Technology Standards and engaging the engineering community to minimize business risk.

• You are partnering with technology functions for innovation scouting and identifying strategic technology improvement opportunities.

• You are developing rigorous scenario planning processes and business cases for capital projects with fiduciary responsibility.

• You are managing stakeholder relationships, driving alignment, and resolving issues related to global CAPEX projects.

• You are providing effective support to sites and affiliates and conducting CAPEX feasibility assessments for early development or new technology projects.

Who you are:

• You have 8+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.

• You hold 5+ years of management leadership experience in a matrix organization.

• You possess experience in a complex global environment with CAPEX project execution.

• You demonstrate excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to handle ambiguity.

• You possess operational expertise and knowledge of MSAT & Process Engineering, as well as strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• You have process engineering experience in a matrixed global environment

• You demonstrate proficiency in lean manufacturing concepts and have experience in major CAPEX project execution.

• You are culturally savvy and adaptable to manage various global cultural environments.

• You have leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams.

• You will have proficient knowledge of English, other languages are a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $141,500 - $262,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
