The successful candidate will develop structural analyses (static, fatigue) in support of design activities, structural modifications, drawing release, fleet maintenance, and manufacturing operations. The candidate will perform classical hand analysis including, but not limited to, free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses and component life as necessary.

Finite element analysis experience expected. The ability to concisely present and explain structural issues and solutions to internal (team members / management) is required; therefore strong documentation and communication skills are required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years' experience in structural analysis; or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years' experience in structural analysis.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred

Experience with metallic and composite structures

Experience with random vibration analysis

Experience with finite element modeling, specifically FEMAP/NX Nastran/CAE NX

Ability to identify and analyze critical load paths

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Design, develop, implement, verify and test algorithms, software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control (GNC) of manned aircraft. Develop control laws to meet air vehicle performance, flying qualities and stability margin requirements, both on ground and in flight. Develop air vehicle system linear and non-linear dynamic simulation models and integrate models into software and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments. Perform performance and flying qualities analysis. Support pilot-in-the-loop simulation handling qualities testing. Analyze air vehicle flight test data and support flight test activities.
