Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as an Principal Engineer Software based out of Huntsville, Alabama on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) Poland contract, a US Army foreign military sale to Poland for its medium-range air and missile defense program. IBCS integrates disparate radars and weapons to construct a far more effective IAMD enterprise.

IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS, Poland will transform its IAMD capabilities in a manner consistent with the U.S. Army. As an NG Principal Engineer Software, you will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; design and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met.Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer Software: 9 Years of experience in software engineering, Will also consider 5 Years software experience with Bachelors in Science, OR 3 Years with Masters.Active Security Clearance.Strong development skills in Java and C++.Preferred Qualifications:
IBCS/ITEx experience.Modelling and Simulation experience.Air and missile defense domain experience.

Salary Range: 92000 - 138000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
