Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Helps to develop integrated communication plans in support of the Division's key priorities
Coordinates closely with internal partners and key stakeholders to gain consensus on communications goals and objectives
Manages outreach for the sectors subject matter experts (SMEs) and coordinate the sector's thought leadership activities including maintaining SME biographic summaries and relevant examples
Works with the Communications team to coordinate internal events.
Adheres to consistent processes and templates for developing, managing and delivering communications content across all channels in compliance with Northrop Grumman Corporation design, style and brand standards.
Exceptional research, writing and presentation skills that demonstrate an ability to comprehend and explain complex programs and initiatives to a broad range of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships, both internal to the team and with key stakeholders
Flexible and motivated self-starter who is highly accountable
Results-driven and able to effectively operate within a shared services team environment
Acts with a sense of urgency, with the ability to adapt rapidly to changing priorities

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related business discipline.
Minimum of 6 years relevant full-time experience.
Occasional travel may be required.
Experience working in or with military, defense, government and/or aerospace-oriented industries
Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization
Demonstrated writing experience using AP Style
