Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal EMI/EMC Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The Principal EMI/EMC Engineer will assist the lead EMI/EMC engineer responsible for the complete compliance process including technical, cost, and schedule performance.
Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance for all aspects of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) compliance, including EMI/EMC/EME/ESD/EMP and lightning.
Review EMI test procedures and EMI test reports
Witness MIL-STD-461 Tests
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of software engineering experience OR-
Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of experience OR
PhD in STEM and 0 years of experience
Must have an Active In-scope DoD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years
The Ability to obtain additional Special Access Program (SAP) clearance before establishing a start date (contingency)
Experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461
Knowledge of EMI / EMC testing
Knowledge of EMI / EMC analysis software
Previous EMI / EMC design leadership experience
