If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to Director of Electrical Engineering to join our Engineering team based in Claremont, CA.

About the Job

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will work on a project task force team completing technical and economic feasibility studies, licensed technology based process design packages, and act as project lead for detailed engineering activities. You will be a self-motivated professional with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of experience.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

  • BSEE

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in petrochemical, refinery, renewables, or power generation projects.

  • California Professional Engineer or APEGA P.Eng preferred

  • Prepare load summary, single lines, and protection diagrams for MV & HV switchgear, motors/generators, transformers, and MCCs. Perform load flow, short circuit analysis, transient motor starting studies, protection relay setting calculations & coordination curves using ETAP and /or SKM software.

  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, and scope of work/work packages. Carry out technical bid analysis and review of vendor drawings.

  • Prepare substation equipment layouts, schematics & wiring drawings.

  • Familiar with NEC, IEC, CEC, ANSI, IEEE, API, and NEMA standards.
