Performs electrical engineering work on oil and gas and Petrochemical plants for on shore projects, and concentration area on Off-Shore / Upstream projects.
Produces drawings and associated Bills of Material, develops specifications, purchases equipment and develops necessary supporting reports, calculations and studies to verify electrical effort on the project.
May perform as a project lead.
Utilizes thorough knowledge of one-line development, relay coordination, lighting calculations, cable sizing, short circuit analysis, grounding, communications, power and controls.
Plans, conducts and directs engineering calculations, studies, evaluations and development projects or equipment requisitioning assignments of major significance, which are highly difficult and complex in nature, requiring the expert application of advanced engineering and associated scientific knowledge.
Experience in Proposals, Estimates, and Material Take-off development.
Represents the organization in outside discussions and technical forums
Minimum 10 years industry experience with an EPC Contractor and 15 years total experience. Work History should be heavily weighted towards offshore upstream projects.
Must have served as the Lead Engineer on at least one (1) mid to large size project ($500 Million ) with very strong background in Offshore / Upstream work.
Experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, MS Office Suite.
Commissioning, and initial start-up phases of a project is preferred.
Background experience in EPC contractor working directly with offshore platforms / production facilities in the Gulf of Mexico is a plus.
