Amazon Logistics is seeking a Principal to launch Electric Bikes for our hypergrowth North America Delivery Service Partner business. This is a unique opportunity to build a new delivery model and integrate it end-to-end in our existing last mile programs. You will create a business model that will excite entrepreneurs starting business as Amazon Delivery Service Partners, while leaning into our customer communities in a new way.
This position will work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to build, launch, sustain and grow the vision for E-bikes in the US and Canada. You will be responsible for project managing multiple workstreams across partners including: collaborating with local governments, adapting driver training for bikers, building policies and standards for safety, designing the bike fleet distribution, maintenance, and repair processes, training DSPs to run an e-bikes business, and more. You will set the strategy and the vision for how DSPs will engage in this new model.
As a key leader in a rapidly growing logistic business, this person needs to love solving ambiguous, high complexity, and never been done before problems. A successful candidate will be highly organized to drive multiple stakeholders forward and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done. This will be a high visibility role, meaning that the optimal candidate will be comfortable driving business critical decisions in a fast paced and high pressure environment, have superb written and verbal skills, and outstanding executive presence to collaborate with internal and external leaders. An ideal candidate will have experience launching E-bikes in a large metropolitan market.
Experience with pedal bikes, electric bikes, or electric scooters initiatives in major metropolitan cities (i.e. rentals, sharing systems, etc.)
7+ years of program, product, project or vendor management experience with excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and stakeholder management
Experience leading new product or start-up related projects where processes will need to be defined, implemented and iterated
Experience working with distributed teams
MBA or Master's Degree in a related field
