Principal Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Program Manager to join our HR team. You will be responsible for supporting the company's business objectives through the advancement of C.H. Robinson's D&I strategy. You will develop, implement and evaluate the ROI of strategies, programs and processes aimed at creating and sustaining an inclusive environment and diverse global workforce. You will play a critical role in consulting with and influencing at all levels within the organization, including C-suite executives. You will work closely with business leaders to ensure diversity and inclusion initiatives are leveraged to drive business results, and with Human Resources to ensure our talent brand and all talent initiatives and processes are aligned to attract, retain, develop and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Develop and execute against a sophisticated and multi-faceted global D&I strategy.
Advise business leaders to develop and integrate diversity strategies, goals and objectives into business and planning processes.
Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to plan and implement D&I strategies for their respective division/region, including assessing and measuring progress and ROI.
Work with leaders and HR partners to implement and monitor the progress of D&I initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement towards the achievement of outcomes such as employee engagement, retention, etc.
Partner with the various Centers of Excellence within Human Resources to execute against the D&I strategy including
Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment best practices and strategies that support diversity, and Learning and
Development to develop content on diversity, inclusion, leadership effectiveness, cultural competence.
Research and benchmark best practices to identify strategies and tactics for creating and nurturing an inclusive culture within a large, decentralized global organization.
Create and execute a communication strategy, in partnership with Internal Communications and Marketing, to ensure that we effectively telling a compelling D&I story both internally and externally.
Monitor key metrics to measure diversity programs and initiatives. Continuously improve the tracking, measurement and reporting of these metrics and make recommendations based on the analysis of the data.
Develop strategic local, national and global relationships, increasing the depth and breadth of our partnerships, to improve diversity representation and inclusion at C.H. Robinson.
Partner with Community Relations to build strong partnerships with external organizations, play an active role in community initiatives and events, and market C.H. Robinson's commitment to supporting the diverse communities in which we work.
Effective planning and budgeting for the D&I function.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 7 years' progressive Human Resources or business related experience in D&I, talent management, talent acquisition and/or organizational effectiveness.
Prior work experience in a decentralized, multi-site, global organization preferred.
Proven track record of promoting, developing and facilitating successful diversity strategies and/or programs to all levels of employees throughout an organization.
Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate and influence effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior leaders.
Possesses strong strategic orientation, ability to think critically, and evaluate broad impacts of work.
Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
Proven program/project management skills with a focus on evaluating ROI and continuous improvement.
Understanding of approaches to achieve organization change, and demonstrated ability to apply change management techniques to achieve successful results.
Knowledge of EEO/AA data collection, cultural audits and ability to perform analysis.
Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to handle sensitive matters with judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
Possesses broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions.
