General Purpose and Scope of Position:
We are looking for someone who can see the big picture from both a business and a technical perspective. The Principal Developer will drive the application's development and must understand the underlying business value to define the technical and architecture roadmap. The Principal Developer must be a proven and hands-on software developer with a proven history of working with large applications or web products. In addition, successful candidates can lead by example, balancing development responsibilities while participating in cross-company efforts, including defining industry standards and evaluating technology.
Required Technical and Professional Experience:
BS in Computer Science or Equivalent with 8+ years of Software Development experience
Proven Expert level experience in at least one of the high-level programming languages
Understand different programming paradigms (OOP, Functional)
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Proven experience building complex web systems
Good understanding of Microservices and Iterative development process
Debugging critical production issues
Experience architecting and developing Web / Mobile, Micro Services
Exceptional design and implementation skills
App development experience for Mobile, Cloud, NodeJS/.Net Core, Docker, preferred
Experience in any of these technologies will be a plus but not required. Angular 7+, TypeScript, Objective C, NodeJS, C#, .Net Web API, PostgreSQL, Web Technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, etc.) is a plus
Mentoring and training software engineers

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures and collaborate with other developers and business analysts in developing new software programs and applications.
Participate in all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including requirements gathering, analysis,
design, programming, testing, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting/resolution.
Define, develop, code, translate, test, analyze, and maintain new software programs and applications in support of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specs.
Liaise with program managers, UI/UX designers, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Applications.
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $118,300 - $165,660. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
