Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Principal Data Architect, under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director of Cloud Data Architecture, has a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of the advanced cloud data architecture portion of the enterprise data strategy. This position will be the primary technical resource, a hands-on individual contributor for the implementation of key services including enterprise data lakehouse, design ingestion framework, cloud data security and vulnerability remediation, network optimization, sandbox/workspace infrastructure-as-code and data enablement services, business intelligence services, AI/ML services, etc.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:

• 12 years of Software development experience which should include 3 years in healthcare systems experience.

• Experience in automation and build critical azure or other hyperscaler resource deployments.

• Experience in cloud administration.

• Experience in Infrastructure-as-code deployment models using standard devops tools.

• Experience in monitoring cloud services and resource provisioned ensuring the security, availability and scalability of the services.

• Experience in vulnerability assessments and providing the suggested patches

• Ability to manage the networking and firewall deployments on cloud

• Experience in handling data environments and design solutions using cloud services like Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, Azure Databricks or similar solutions.

• Clear understanding of Healthcare Data standards like HL7, FHIR, USCDI, Secured APIs

• Lead the integrations using organization standards or recommend standard guidelines as applicable

• Ability to manage difficult, sensitive, and confidential situations with integrity and professionalism.

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Highly organized with proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and lead multiple project implementations.

• Possess a high degree of flexibility to respond rapidly to changing goals, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Understanding of Data Analytics platforms and their abilities/inabilities to interact with each other.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems or combination of experience and study.

Pay Scale Information

USD $130,000.00 - USD $233,875.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
