Northrop Grumman Aerospace System (NGAS) is seeking a Program Cost Schedule & Control Analyst 3 in their San Diego, CA facility to support Capital Analysis within Business Management.

Responsibilities will include;

This position will be the lead Capital Analyst for the Division and have some support to Non-Contractual Technical Agreement (NCTA) efforts. They will manage and coordinate all the Capital and open commitments along with actuals pulls, variance reporting, forecasting estimating and executive leadership review briefings.

This is a fast paced high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee to join the team. This candidate will have experience with program planning and open commitment tracking and be able to apply them to multiple efforts while working with Technical Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities: understand and communicate unique problems and recommend potential business/process solutions; collaborating with Sector Capital teams to validate work products and timelines; work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus; exert some influence on peers and internal customers; good interpersonal skills while representing the group on special projects outside of own group.

This Program Cost Control Analyst will focus on Capital Forecasting and support for Major Subcontracts and General Procurement (GP). The analyst will be responsible for preparing month-end reports; developing and reviewing EAC's; incorporation of changes into the system in order to maintain Major Subcontract/GP cost and schedule accuracy. The analyst will assist IPTs for Capital activities including: color of money rules, time phasing of the tasks, developing and documenting spend plans, monthly performance measurement, estimate to complete analysis and updates, and variance analysis research and reporting. Support multiple monthly reviews, identify pressures and opportunities, and develop recovery plans as required.

Basic Qualifications;

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related
6 years of related experience in financial analysis or a Master's Degree with 4 years related experience in financial analysis

Financial forecasting and/or material accounting experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Program planning and open commitment tracking

Preferred Qualifications;

Understanding of Business Systems (SAP/MPM)

Security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Requires a bachelor's degree in economics, math, accounting, business, or a similar discipline. Experience as a cost analyst or similar position is preffered. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Access required. Some experience in multiple Data Base Management System, DBMS, Dbase IV, and Dbase V highly desirable. Coding abilities highly desirable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work will mostly be performed in an air conditioned office, but the incumbent must be able to commute about the yard and climb on the ships undergoing repair.
