Senior Consultant, Ovum | Boston, New York, or remote
Ovum advises telcos, IT and network vendors and technology buyers on the market strategies, trends, and best practice across the TMT industry. We deliver these services either through a standard subscription or custom research service.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to focus on delivering best in class custom research delivering over 200 projects a year. As well as positioning Ovum as the leading firm in custom research, the Senior Consultant will also have an important role in strengthening existing customer relationships as well as developing new ones.
Managing projects through a distributed team of analysts to ensure that they have clear objectives and project plans, and that the team collaborates well.
Collaboration with the US account management team to expand Ovum's presence in key accounts by networking with research users and executives.
Maintaining a good working relationship with the Ovum account management team to proactively develop Ovum's commercial position.
Bid management project scoping and proposal writing through the sales process.
Working with the US team to implement the group and country growth strategy.
Manage custom research deliverables, delivering projects to client satisfaction
Achieve personal consulting utilization targets
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience in client project management in a market research, management consulting or professional services firm; MBA/advanced degree preferred
Proven track record of outstanding project and process management expertise
Motivated with an ability to problem-solve and overcome obstacles
Ability to work with many stakeholders
Experience working closely with sales teams and training them in consulting sales
Evidence of client management skills
Assembling and Leading Project Team
Experience in running multiple small to mid-scale ($50,000 - $150,000 per engagement) consulting projects at any given time
Manage Issues and Risk
Ability to inspire clients and to be part of a team that is capable of proactive and reactive consulting sales and delivery
