Job Description and Duties

Looking to share your knowledge and build a training program centered around our new collections system? The Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) Division EDR2 Career Center Lead position is the perfect position for you.

The ARM EDR2 Career Center Lead will coordinate, train, and provide superior customer service to the ARM Division. As we roll out the Enterprise Data to Revenue Project to the Central and Field Offices, you will be responsible to support the Career Center Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR2) Training Team by representing the Career Center on teams, committees, and focus groups responsible for identifying ways to improve training issues that impact policy, systems, and procedures. You will also be responsible to provide instruction during class sessions for ARM new hire and enterprise-wide training.

This position requires attending EDR2 Teams including EDR2 Joint Application Development (JADS) for both Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entities (BE), and additional enterprise meetings that support the development and implementation to successfully train the collections system that will be rolled out to the Division.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Knowledge of collection procedures and resources, such as the Collection Procedure Manual (CPM), the RACK, and the Enterprise Procedure Manual.

  • Experience working with Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) and/or Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR2) Project and Joint Application Development (JAD) attendance.

  • Experience working with all levels of staff and leadership.

  • Knowledge and experience of FTB programs, computer systems, and databases or similar systems, e.g. Taxpayer Information (TI), Business Entities Tax System (BETS), Accounts Receivable Collection System (ARCS), Integrated Nonfiler Compliance (INC), Taxpayer Folder (TPF), Case Management (CM), etc.

  • Experience with project management.

  • Lead person experience.

  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage multiple workloads and priorities.

  • Experience working in Personal Income Tax, Business Entity Tax, and Non-Tax Debt Collections.

  • Utilize good judgment and take effective actions.

  • Utilize MS Office products, including Visio.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Captivate software.

  • Exercise excellent customer service skills.

  • Exercise strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver presentations or training to large and/or small audiences.

  • Experience writing and/or reviewing reports, recommendations, and issue papers.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and leadership.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while demonstrating initiative, integrity, ownership, and accountability.
