ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals-manganese and zinc-as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation's clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Principal Analyst- Business Evaluation you will work cross-functionally to assess opportunities including Life of Operations Plans, capital projects, portfolio composition and commercial negotiations to make recommendations to the business.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Undertaking economic and financial modelling of investments and opportunities identified in the annual Life of Operation Plan (LoOP).

• Ensuring that opportunities are appropriately risked and valued at each part of the plannng and investment process. The role is responsible for analysing resource assessments, conceptual development plans and cost benchmarking to support timely investment decision making.

• Completing alternative options analysis for investment opportunities, including sensitivity analysis of key value drivers.

• Writing investment approval requests at completion of study phases.

• Ensuring that investment evaluation inputs, methods and assessments meet Group investment standards.

• Preparing and delivering timely investment presentations, reports & submissions in an objective, comprehensive, and balanced form.

• Ensuring that opportunities are appropriately risked and valued at each part of the plannng and investment process. The role is responsible for analysing resource assessments, conceptual development plans and cost benchmarking to support timely investment decision making.

• Co-ordinating between teams in Hermosa Technical Services, Group Planning, Hermosa Projects Controls, Group Commercial, Group Finance and Group Marketing to ensure consistency of assumptions and strategic direction.

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant degree (geology, mining engineering, finance, commercial).

• Post-graduate financial qualifications (preferred).

• 8+ years of combined operational, projects, corporate finance and/or techno-economic valuation experience.

• Ability to quickly assess business cases for strengths and weaknesses.

• Ability to co-ordinate and facilitate workshops with mining technical experts.

• Expert excel financial modelling skillls.

• Understanding of mining and processing value drivers
