Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Engineering is seeking a Budget Analyst for their Redondo Beach, CA facility in a functional role for Materials, Process & Services (MPS) Directorate.

This position will work closely with the MPS Director to meet the goals and objectives of the organization. The candidate will serve as the business management leadership point-of-contact and interface with the Center Director, Department Managers, Section Managers, and employees who are geographically on the west coast. Responsibilities include, but, are not limited to financial data tracking and analysis for monthly reporting requirements and reviews; support to indirect expense planning & forecasting; managing of NCTA budgets; and manpower/staffing requirement forecasting; as well as; managing of direct allocations; time charging and compliance policy guidance; general support to the business staff members; Capital; and a variety of ad hoc tasks/exercises.

The position reports to the directorate business manager and will support a FHR organization consisting of ~350 employees, as well as, working closely with business management team, department management team and Director. Ideal candidate will be able to lead others, be self-motivated, have strong written, analytical and oral communication skills, and organizational and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will need strong technical skills (e.g. SAP/Business Warehouse, Excel, and PowerPoint) and interface with all levels of Management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years of analysis and reporting and/or budget administration experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Business Administration

  • Knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse (BW)

  • Resource management experience (indirect, NCTA, Capital)

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects

  • Financial reporting and accounting principles

  • Strong written, analytical and oral communication skills

Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Redondo Beach, CA. The Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst will report to the Manager of Project Controls and will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman Corporation Strategic Space Systems programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation. This role requires the candidate to have an active TS and/or SSBI/SCI Clearance. Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system * Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration * Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines * Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines * Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting * Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required * Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting * Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines Basic Qualifications: * An active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance is required * Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' experience in business finance or accounting to include program cost control and planning, or a Master's Degree and 8 years of stated experience * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: * Master's Degree * Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) * Experience with financial control concepts and principles to solve business issues * Proficiency of the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) or similar project management software, wInsight, SAP Management Project System Modules and Business Warehouse (BW) Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
