The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Principal Biostatistician will provide statistical support for clinical studies, help develop clinical strategy, and mentor other biostatisticians. The objectives of our clinical studies run the gamut from product development to product launch supporting the Medical Solutions, the Oral Care Solutions, and the Consumer Health and Safety Divisions.

As a Principal Biostatistician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Acting as statistical lead on clinical teams and lead analytical strategies for programs of major importance related to product development, regulatory approval or clearance, validation of product performance and competitive claims

  • Providing input into clinical investigation plans or protocols, data management documents, develop and review statistical analysis plans, and author/co-author reports, abstracts, and manuscripts

  • Advising, mentoring and to overseeing the quality control of statistical deliverables

  • Executing and/or directing statistical and programming activities on a study and be accountable for the deliverables

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of experience in the design and analysis of clinical studies in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in one of the following disciplines: Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Epidemiology

  • Proficient in SAS programming

  • Experience leading statistical discussions with cross-functional teams to develop and refine clinical study objectives to establish the safety and efficacy of products

  • Experience with survival analysis

  • Experience with adaptive designs

Location: Maplewood, MN and may consider remote U.S. work location

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the architecture design/planning, management, support, and oversight of the Cloud One Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) common services offered for development, integration, test, and production. This is remote work that may be performed from any location within the United States. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with proximity to Maxwell-Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL) or Hanscom AFB (Bedford, MA). The Principal Cloud Engineer will be supporting the Cloud One program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data serves the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and other Government Customers. Cloud One facilitates the Government's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF operations.
