We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the analytics pipeline that drives insights and decision-making across our organization. This role demands a strong background in databases, SQL, analytics, and optimization to ensure efficient data handling and processing.

Reporting to the VP, you'll be responsible for:

• Engage in the development of state-of-the-art Gen AI technology.

• Develop and Optimize Analytics Pipeline: Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems for our analytics pipeline.

• Database Management: Implement and manage database solutions to store and retrieve large datasets.

• Write complex queries for data manipulation and retrieval.

• Data Analytics Integration: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate advanced analytics and machine learning models into the pipeline.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of the backend systems.

• Implement caching, indexing, and other optimization techniques.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 10+ years experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a focus on analytics and databases.

• Experience in SQL database technologies and Elastic Search

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

• Proficiency in a backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java).

• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$175,000-$250,000 USD
