Your role:

You are an experienced UI/Front-End Engineer who creates compelling user experiences and have a strong background in ReactJS and NodeJS. You are driven, curious and passionate about your work. This is a senior role best suited to self-starters with senior-level experience and

a finely-honed, intuitive and strategic sense of priority.

Tech Stack: ReactJS, NodeJS, NextJS, Typescript, yarn

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality user interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript

• Write server-side code using NodeJS and integrate with backend REST interfaces

• Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement features that meet customer needs

• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

• Quick iterative UI mock-ups with key stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Mastery of ReactJS and NodeJS

• Collaborate with backend developers to design and integrate REST APIs.

• Ability to create UIs testable with Jest, Selenium

• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD systems

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Must be available for work during regular business hours in the Pacific Time Zone

• User empathy

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with AI- and/or data science-oriented applications

• Experience with multi-dimensional data visualization (D3.js, Plotly)

• Experience with the process of updating 3rd party library dependencies (npm/yarn)

• Experience with User Authentication and Authorization methods (Auth0, GitHub, etc)

• Experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

• Experience with UI talking to Python backend gRPC services

• Experience with LLMs and/or langchain

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[170,000 - 182,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock options, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
