Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are in search of a highly-skilled Java developer to be an instrumental contributor to the Cloud Financials product development team. We're currently creating new technologies that intelligently automate various business processes, which have traditionally required human intervention. Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • 8 years industry experience in business application software development using Java

  • 2 years of experience with cloud computing (Oracle Public Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google)

  • Proven track record of creating and delivering distributed software in a microservices architecture

  • Work Experience in designing/developing software solutions using Agile development methodologies.

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions are a must.

  • Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are a must.

  • Work Experience in developing/implementing web application solutions on Financials or any Enterprise software product/project will be an added advantage.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills engaging and influencing peers and executives is essential.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibility for this position will be to work in Cray's Performance Team as the Technical Manager for Center of Excellence (CoE) staff working with Cray customers. The CoE is responsible for supporting the scientific user community of Cray systems at selected customer sites. The CoE staff work closely with users of Cray systems to ensure their scientific software programs execute efficiently on the targeted Cray platforms and they are able to utilize the system optimally to advance their scientific work. The CoE staff is geographically dispersed, and includes application engineers located at customer sites, Cray offices, and remote locations. In addition to the management of the people within the group, the CoE Technical Manager will work with customer management to determine work plans and coordinate the technical effort necessary to ensure the desired work is completed on schedule. The CoE Technical Manager will also coordinate the scheduling and agenda for monthly CoE Management meetings, create yearly written reports of CoE activities, and provide periodic status presentations to both Customer and Cray executives. The manager will also assist with the organization and documentation of customer workshops and training. He or she will also help CoE staff get responses to requests for specific technical information and assistance. A portion of this manager's time will also be spent coordinating with Cray engineering management and staff, as well as providing relevant application performance data and information from the CoE work for use by software and hardware engineers who are working on future Cray product designs. RequirementsQualifications: The ideal candidate will have a background in management of technical engineering staff focused on scientific applications on High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and be able to apply this expertise to drive specified results. Candidates having a subset of the following qualifications with a demonstrated ability to learn will be considered. * Experience with management of technical engineering staff is required ○ Ability to work well with customers, and address their questions and concerns as necessary in a timely manner ○ Ability to coordinate technical work and schedules involving multiple engineers across different geographies ○ Ability to lead and challenge a technical team to complete aggressive tasks on schedule ○ Ability to track issues encountered when working with leading edge technology, and to engage other parts of the company to brainstorm solutions and monitor plans to obtain resolution ○ Ability to address management tasks in a thorough and timely fashion for the benefit of Cray and the individuals involved ○ Ability to understand the technical work being done at the appropriate level * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills * A university degree in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, or another technical field is required (MS or PhD preferred) * Knowledge of parallel programming and performance analysis for HPC applications.
