The ideal candidate has an aptitude to deliver high quality products in a hands-on development role by influencing and implementing the technical architecture using modern technologies. The Principal Application Developer will work closely with developers, architects, management and stakeholders in a very collaborative and open environment.
THINGS YOU'LL DO:
Define the technical approach and design of major features, leveraging your extensive knowledge of and experience with the technical concepts available in the database industry
Anticipate, identify, and solve a wide array of database and system problems where information is available and data analysis is required
Ensure adherence to database best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures
Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures
Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, archival, and performance
Identify and evaluate the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support data technology goals
Lead a team of passionate technologists focused on building scalable, highly available web applications using the latest technologies
EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
Extensive experience as a database developer, database administrator and database systems architect
Extensive experience with Oracle 11g/12c, including the development of complex business logic using PL/SQL
Extensive experience building and managing high traffic, SaaS-based applications
Experience with large scale systems involving reporting, transactional systems and integration with other enterprise systems (i.e. Mainframe)
Proficiency in system analysis and design in accordance with established procedures and policies
Proficiency in Agile software development: Scrum, Kanban
Good working knowledge of DBmaestro, AWR/ADDm reports, Oracle Forms/Reports
