We are looking for a Principal Analyst /Research Director to join our US Lower 48 upstream oil and gas team in Houston. Our dedicated oil and gas sector teams are located around the world, and deliver research and consulting projects based on our assessment and valuation of thousands of individual assets. Together we work with a range of clients including national and major oil companies, operators, investment banks and institutional investors.

About you and how you can excel in this role

You are passionate about upstream oil and gas and have a broad, in-depth understanding of the energy sector in your current or previous roles in our industry. You have an analytical commercial mindset and can formulate leading-edge analysis from a variety of data and information. This is coupled with your ability to communicate highly complex or technical information, delivering messages that are easily understood.

You are also fully proficient in all aspects of the activities, events and trends in your respective region. You thrive in a collaborative, commercial and client-centric environment.

You have a proven track record of fostering strong working relationships including coaching, influencing and developing others around you. The way in which you work is highly productive and driven, striving to be best in class and supporting others to achieve this. You are focused on continuous improvement and play a key role in implementing better ways of working.

Your qualifications include:

  • Minimum of eight years relevant experience working directly within or analyzing the upstream oil and gas industry (US onshore experience preferred)
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in related field such as business, finance, economics, earth science or engineering
