The Applied AI Mission Architect (A2I MA) should be a passionate and seasoned leader in the application of AI technologies. The A2I MA is responsible for the development of NGC's AI/ML technology research priorities, AI insertion into our existing and next gen programs and support to the corporate AI/ML strategy execution.

Key specific responsibilities include:

  • Serving as technical ambassadors for AI/ML across the NGC enterprise

  • Development of foundational AI/ML discriminators for use in systems and platforms across the enterprise

  • Identification and assessment of AI insertion opportunities into key programs across the enterprise

  • Architecting AI solutions in collaboration with key program technical leadership teams

  • Shaping corporate AI strategy

  • Driving innovation, technology maturation and integration into AI product lines

  • Serving as technical subject matter experts for key customers, technical standards organizations and academia

  • Collaborating with and advising NGC AI community across the enterprise

  • Engaging, collaborating and fostering partnerships with commercial AI companies

  • Promoting adaptation and adoption of commercial AI technologies within NGC offerings

  • Overseeing research and fostering partnerships with key academic partners

Basic Qualifications:

  • STEM Degree; 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the application of AI/ML for defense or commercial solution development

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep technical understanding of artificial intelligence and state of the art commercial practice

  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills in working across organizational boundaries

  • Proven ability to apply cutting edge research to real mission customer

  • Demonstrated ability to think broadly about applications of AI/ML research to products across the NGC enterprise

  • Demonstrated ability to identify common technology needs across a broad portfolio of programs

  • Demonstrated track record of prototype development and ability to communicate the mission impact of technology to customers

  • Proven ability to develop strategic and technology roadmaps and experience translating those roadmaps to capability development

  • Experience leading teams of technology professionals

  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills in working across organizational boundaries

  • US Citizen with active DoD SECRET security clearance

This position requires the ability to understand a system architecture and determine how to stress the architecture's mission critical functions and components, to include Anti-Tamper (AT) protection techniques and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) building blocks. The systems engineer will support system security capability development programs by supporting the planning and execution of design verification testing, the verification, and the validation of unit level system security software and hardware capabilities. The systems engineer will support system security production programs by supporting the planning and execution of verification, and validation of systems level system security software and hardware capabilities, to include the integration into end user environments. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with software and hardware teams to understand expected unit level and system level behavior to define test cases and define & develop test capabilities that exercise and stress respective software and hardware capabilities. * Execute planned design verification testing and systems level integration and testing tasks. * Collaborate with software and hardware subject matter experts to ensure testing is producing expected data points. * Support the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plans. * Support systems engineering technical reviews. * Collaborate with integration and test lead, lab management and information technology infrastructure teams to ensure the availability of requisite power, compute, physical security, safety mechanisms, and environmental conditioning. MSBALTECM Basic Qualifications: * Five (5) years of experience with Bachelors in Science; Three (3) years of experience with Masters; Zero (0) years of experience with PhD in a STEM discipline * Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret clearance or higher. * Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR) * Knowledge of embedded systems design and implementation Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelors in Science, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering. * Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance * Previous experience working on a Special Access Program * Experience testing software written in C, C . * Experience developing scripts in python to automate manual processes. * Experience coding in MATLAB to support capability characterization. * Experience with messaging techniques such as sockets, UDP, TCP. * Experience with FPGA and GPU APIs. * Willingness and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (10% or less).
