About the Opportunity Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our Prime Room as an Adhesive Primer.

A Primer Applies adhesive primer to anodized surfaces of aluminum and titanium aircraft parts applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques, using spray painting equipment, power tools, and work aids


  • Applies adhesive and corrosion primer coating to prepared aircraft structures in accordance with engineering planning documents and customer specifications.

  • Masks and covers surfaces not to be painted.

  • Uses spray equipment to spray specified amount of thickness of primer onto prepared surfaces

  • Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.

  • Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.

  • Reads and follows engineering pictorials for the masking and priming of parts, and the inspection of parts for defects.

  • Records completion of painting operations on planning documents.

  • Understands coating and cure times and schedules work to meet schedule requirements.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

  • At least two years of industrial paint/prime application experience is desired.

  • Must be proficient in the usage of hand tools.

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-11T00:00 Description:This SPM position will be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of F-35 Development and New Capture Business subcontracts. The SPM will be expected to ensure early problem identification and timely resolution of issues to meet program goals and commitments. Responsible for establishing risk management process with subcontractors, risk tracking, mitigation plans, SDRL tracking (delivery and approval), along with ensuring SOW, data requirements, and schedules are accurate and complete. The SPM will be the primary interface between LM program management and F-35 Development Supply Chain Organization, and has the responsibility to ensure the supply chain organization can successfully execute all Development and Capture activity in accordance with Program requirements. The SPM will ensure regulatory and LM business practices for subcontracting are followed. The position will require the SPM to engage in proposal activities to include development of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), subcontractor proposal evaluation, payment strategies, and support of fact-finding and negotiations. The SPM will be expected to develop program Subcontract Management Plans (SMPs) that detail management oversight strategies for program subcontractors. The SPM will also be expected to develop the business rhythm required to effectively manage F-35 Development Activity. This SPM will support the F-35 Development and Capture Team ensuring SCM is integrated with all cross-functional teams involved in Development and Capture activity i.e. Engineering, Security, Program Office, Estimating, Business Management, Business Development. The SPM will work collaboratively with the Development Program Office and Engineering to develop and execute F-35 Mission System follow-on development and tech refresh roadmaps and subcontract strategy for F-35 mission system competitions and development activity. The SPM will be responsible for overseeing development and production break-in schedule of newly developed F-35 Mission System configurations. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications: * 5+ years of subcontract management experience * Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) programs * Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) - procurement, sourcing policies and procedures. Desired Skills: * Exhibits strong problem solving skills in the application of subcontracts management - specifically in the areas of Acquisition Planning, Procurement Strategy, Contract Development, Supplier Management, Risk Management, Change Management, and Supplier Capacity and Capability Analysis * Individual required to work independently, and effectively interface with cross-functional discipline – with a working knowledge of F-35 Business Management (SCM Financial Management, Funding, and Estimating), Contracts, and Program Office concept of operations * Working knowledge of SAP and the various systems in support of procurements * Experience with cost reimbursement and development contracting * Position will require support for process improvement and affordability initiatives and will require communication/presentation to senior leadership * Excellent interpersonal skills * Demonstrated attributes of full spectrum leadership * Ability to obtain a Secret clearance * Ability to travel 5% BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
