Job Description:

  • This position will start at our HQ in Northfield, Illinois and move to Libertyville, IL in Q3.*

Analyze business and financial results to support the sales organization.

Present findings and recommendations to sales management to solve problems and issues related to sales opportunities.

Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports.

  • Create, maintain, and develop relationships with the customer, Medline contacts and vendor community. Lead various committees on behalf of customer (ex. value analysis committee).

  • Serve as initial point of contact for customers' new and existing vendors. Meet with vendors to discuss products, pricing and terms. Present findings to key contacts in the customer's procurement team.

  • Measure the trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation and utilization. Prepare and analyze sales forecast, sales results, budget variances, and quarterly business presentations.

  • Support sales team by managing contract terms, assisting with brand conversions, and tracking all savings and projects. Make presentations regarding project updates, business results, committee findings, etc.

  • Review pricing to determine items that are priced outside of the normal predetermined range for typical customers of that market type. Ensure new pricing rules are first reviewed and evaluated for their impact for final implementation.

  • Evaluate 3rd party industry pricing data being marketed and sold to Medline customers to understand what information is being provided and implications to the Company.

  • Provide issue resolution in the following areas (not limited to): inventory surplus, backorders, outstanding invoices. Initiate and partner with the internal teams. Communicate resolution in a timely manner.

  • Host weekly meetings with supply chain, materials services, and Medline Sales teams.

  • Collaborate with Sales, IS and Finance to develop, create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure systems provide accurate and timely data.

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Will be considered: High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in sales analysis and support.

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in sales analysis and support.


  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

  • Willingness to travel for business related needs (i.e. training, accounts meetings, development, etc).


Relevant Work Experience

  • Previous analytics experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Previous inventory or supply chain analytics experience.

VIEW JOBS 2/5/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-05T00:00 Role Summary: The IT Vendor & Project Risk Analyst plays a critical role in supporting stakeholders by providing guidance and expertise on the third-party risk management program and framework. Reporting to the Manager of Information Security GRC, the Risk Analyst works under minimal supervision to manage the coordination efforts with internal and external parties, conducting pre-contract screening and risk assessments and ensures that proper artifacts are obtained noting issues requiring remediation and/or escalation. This role will also lead improvement efforts and provide regular updates of various practices, reports, policies, and procedures within the organization. The Risk Analyst will also be the key driver of risk management for IT projects that span all technology disciplines. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving organization that values creative ideas and quick iteration to make a significant impact. Role Responsibilities: * Oversee the third-party on-boarding process, including risk assessment and due diligence through partnerships with Legal, information security, and various business units to ensure all requirements are met * Evaluate vendor documents to determine acceptability * Oversees the day-to-day risk mitigation, monitoring, and reporting for third party relationships * Review vendor risk assessment outputs to ensure risk has been appropriately assessed * Obtain and maintain necessary training to keep current on the discipline of third-party risk management, including regulatory and industry practices * Ensure departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulatory standards and company policies and procedures * Participate in the team's preparation and involvement in regulatory examinations * Assist with the creation of policies and procedure for the Vendor Management department * Analyze external supplier data to drive recommendations * Provides process improvement strategies on existing procedures and processes across the team and risk organization to achieve efficiencies * Develop risk management strategies in conjunction with the IT PMO that align with business goals to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems and data * Create periodic IT Project risk management status reports * Track and monitor risk issues and open items related to IT Projects Experience: Required - * 3-5 years of experience Education: Required - * B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science (or related field) Desired - * Advanced Degree a plus General Skills: * Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic * Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written * Computer savvy - skilled in the use of software * Integration - joining people, processes or systems * Influencing and negotiation skills * Problem solving * Time Management * Ability and desire to learn new technologies Specialized Skills: Required - * Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills * Analytical reporting skills * Customer/client experience (both internal and external working with vendors) * Experienced in current regulations pertaining to Third Party Risk * Project coordination skills Desired - * Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP Certification) or other risk certifications Work Flexibility: * Travel 10% of the time * Flexibility to work outside of core hours (Monday - Friday) to support business demand We are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
