I. Job Summary

Operates a wide variety of heavy equipments vehicles that perform the spreading and compaction of construction demolition, commercial and residential waste disposed at the post collection facilities.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

Operates heavy equipments in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.

Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records

Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipments.

Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle

Performs other duties as assigned.

R.J. Corman Railroad Services is currently seeking full-time Heavy Equipment Operators/Laborers for our Kansas City division in Kansas City, KS. Accountability: Operates and performs preventative maintenance and minor repair of heavy equipment. Operation and equipment knowledge at a well-developed level is required. Responsibilities: * Operates Heavy or Specialized equipment. (i.e. Tripp Mach, Mark IV Tamper, TKO, Regulator, M320, Trackhoe, Dozer, Crane, etc.) * Demonstrate experienced operation and equipment knowledge. * Performs preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment. * May assist with supervision of small crew as necessary. * Maintains proper equipment appearance and cleanliness. * May perform labor duties as needed. * Communicates with supervisor throughout the job process. * Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures. * Practices safe working habits. * Ensures working conditions are safe and that proper PPE is being used as job duties require. Minimum Requirements * Live within 45 minutes of the shop * Possess a current CDL A and DOT medical card. * Extensive travel is required. FMCSA Clearinghouse registration will be required for CDL candidates in order to provide electronic consent for pre-employment queries. Registration can be completed at R.J. Corman Kansas City KS
