The Pricing Specialist will work closely with Sales, the Corporate Cost team and Region Replenishment teams to ensure pricing goals are achieved. The position will lead the implementation and maintenance of bid/quotation processes. Produce, analyze and update forecasts for sales and pricing models and summarizing findings by customer and product segmentation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Transact all business in accordance to Animal Health International Inc.'s business code of ethics and conduct

  • Review and Report on Actual Results versus Budget Attainment Goals using Zilliant Analytics, SAP, Excel and other data base tools and communicate with management based on Region strategic initiatives

  • Review trends within segments, classes of trade, across territories and other meaningful product markets

  • 1st point of contact for handling pricing exceptions, including resolving promotions and pricing below the "floor"

  • Subject Matter Expert on Zilliant pricing tools, responsible for training, advising and coaching sales management on the use of Zilliant analytics, dashboards and other pricing tools

  • Understand product costs and drive plans for margin recovery when thresholds are exceeded

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating data, including manufacturer pricelists, where needed, and plant maintained costs as directed by the Region President

  • Upload customer bids & quotes in SAP

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Excellent communication (listening, verbal and written), presentation and influencing skills

  • Organizational, planning and time management skills ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize

  • Excel skills, proficient in Word, PowerPoint and use of other business intelligence tools

  • Team player, self-motivated with a strong desire for success

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales, revenue management, analysis, and/or pricing preferred with a track record of performing analysis in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior distribution experience preferred

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 Reporting to the Downstream Manager, Devens Single Use Facility (SUF, the Bioprcess Specialist of Downstream SUF Manufacturing is responsible for advancing the mid to late stage clinical pipeline according to established work instructions and in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The Devens Single Use Facility is a brand new, state of the art facility utilizing single-use technology. Key responsibilities include: * Weighs and checks raw materials. Assembles single use disposables and components. Leads in maintaining material and component inventory levels. * Operates primary production equipment to complete process steps including buffer preparation, column packing, chromatography and filtration in a clean room environment. * Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures. Recognizes deviations from accepted practice and communicates to area management. * Champions area specific initiatives and engages in creating a safe work environment. Works on more complex manufacturing assignments per written procedures with minimal instructions. * Revises and creates process documents, i.e. SOP's and Batch Records, with no instruction and supports process related investigations. * Effectively uses in process automation systems (i.e. Delta V and Syncade Interactions, OSI/Pi Historian) and some supporting business systems (i.e. SAP. Trackwise, Maximo etc.) to maintain production records. * Reviews master batch records and exception reports associated with each manufacturing lot, in conjunction with area management and Quality representative. Requirements: * Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S., in engineering, biochemistry or science related discipline is desired but not required. * A minimum of 5+ years of downstream process operations experience in a biotechnology manufacturing facility subject to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations. * Strong knowledge of regulations such as GMP's and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Previous experience with single use technology a plus * Prior evidence of successful participation on work teams where combined contribution, collaboration, and results were expected. Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co- workers. * Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable. Takes responsibility for personal safety , contributes to establishing a safe workplace environment and mentors junior manufacturing staff * Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet and web based applications.
