Pricing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be a key member of the Commercial Finance team responsible for providing and interpreting contract pricing analysis for the commercial organization and serving as a link between the pricing system and the Commercial team. The primary responsibility of this role is to set up and maintain contracts in the pricing system, forecasting for contract pricing, model contract financials, and maintain contract elements/tracker. Most importantly, they will guide the contract process from a financial perspective by keeping the process within contract guidelines and developing methodologies to meet customer needs. Additionally, they will perform other function as needed.

• Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders in order to understand needs and proactively identify solutions.

• Generate and maintain analytics useful for tactical and strategic decision making.

• Successfully maintain and manage contract tracking tool.

• Effectively and efficiently collect, manage, and analyze pricing forecasting and guidelines.

• Effectively and efficiently collect, manage, and input pricing and contract data on a timely basis.

• Will be the point of contact for contract analysis, guideline adherence, formula development, and contract problem resolution.

• As the subject matter expert, identify and resolve process inefficiencies by leading and directing the complete change process from start to finish.

• Contribute to the efficiency and improvement of the organization by identifying, resolving, and eliminating issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with commercial team to set up and manage contract pricing in pricing software.

• Analyze and report on raw materials to the commercial team.

• Load and maintain surcharges to specific customers.

• Update contract elements in appropriate systems for accuracy and analysis.

• Review pricing analysis and correct as needed.

• Develop and present financial modeling for new and existing contract negotiations.

• Review KPIs and take action as needed

• Lead/recognize project improvements

• Develop efficient processes and desk procedures for the role.

• Special projects as identified by management

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or similar discipline.

• Experience with commercial pricing, contract administration, and pricing software.

• Solid understanding of commercial policies, procedures and techniques.

• Experience with commercial pricing and contract administration.

• Experience working in an ERP environment; SAP experience.

• Proficient in using MS Office products required: Excel (intermediate level), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• 3-5 years working experience required.
