What you'll be doing...
The Pricing Manager will be responsible for analyzing, recommending, approving and negotiating custom pricing proposals for standard solutions across an assigned set of large, strategic accounts with potential total contract values of $100M+. You will also support complex renewals, as well as requests for significant contract terms and conditions modifications. You will perform in-depth financial modeling & risk analysis in order to establish price points and ensure margins are aligned with business objectives.
Financial & Business Acumen
Perform detailed business case analysis by independently creating a pricing evaluation (IDEA) model, and recommend, create and approve customer pricing for complex proposals.
Evaluate and analyze based on profitability, competition, market nuances, and account strategy.
Ensure all costs to support the deal are accurately captured and properly reflected in the financial model.
Understand the operation of underlying cost models and modify financial model as required.
Ensure DLM (Deal Lifecycle Management) & EMR (Executive Management Review) deliverables are completed in accordance with process guidelines.
Act as Verizon's lead negotiator and decision maker with regards to pricing on assigned deals.
Influence or negotiate contracts with internal and external legal teams, customer executives and consultants.
Analyze the impacts associated with changes to the technical solution and contract terms that are suggested during a negotiation and makes appropriate and well thought-out decisions.
Prepare and present detailed financial briefings for internal teams as well as executive management, including; discussion of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics.
Effectively communicate pricing and any custom terms and conditions to internal stakeholders and customers as required.
Create and issue Approval Notes.
Work closely with key stakeholders (Sales, Billing and Contract Assurance, Legal, Tax, Regulatory) to ensure the cost and price proposal is compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
Maintain accuracy of deal financials in SalesForce and Google Sheets as appropriate.
Ensure adherence with EMR and CPS103 processes and obligations.
Comply with CPE NDP, Capital, and other guidelines as appropriate.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
Knowledge of Verizon's products and services and value proposition.
Knowledge of the commercial, financial, regulatory and technical aspects of the wireless industry.
Experience with Excel, specifically using formulas to manipulate data.
Relevant financial analysis and/or pricing experience.
Experience with contract negotiations.
Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and make sound business decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, senior leaders and employees of all levels.
Self-motivation and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadline.
