Job Description:

The Pricing Manager contributes individually and through others to compile internal and external data and use advanced analytical techniques to make informed pricing recommendations for the U.S. automotive finance operation. The focus of the position will require the creation of advanced value-add analysis and understanding of statistical modeling. Individual will be responsible for developing, communicating and leading the execution of pricing strategies to drive profit and volume.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze core retail granular pricing programs to ensure profitability objectives are met

  • Develop alert mechanisms to effectively monitor retail granular pricing cells

  • Leverage quantitative models and advanced analytics to develop business pricing strategies to support revenue and volume objectives

  • Work with functional partners to find opportunities to grow business and optimize profitability

  • Ensure alignment of auto finance pricing processes and tools with matrix partners

  • Understand competitive environment and other drivers of economics to optimize returns

  • Review large amounts of information, summarize and make pricing recommendations to senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or other quantitative field; Advanced degree is ideal

  • 7+ years of experience in advanced analytics in financial services or related field, at least 5 years of leadership experience preferred; knowledge of auto consumer credit (loans/lease/dealer operations) a strong plus

  • Working knowledge of the uses and limitations of statistical methodologies and models

  • Working knowledge of Phython/R/SAS or other advanced statistical analysis software

  • Experience working with large datasets and data extraction

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into clear action-oriented recommendations for the business

  • Comfort level with ambiguity and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time

  • Knowledge of general financial concepts -- P-L calculations, amortization schedules, basic understanding of interest rates, pro-forma models

  • Ability to communicate analytical insights clearly and concisely to individuals from diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to provide advice and direction in primary areas of expertise
