You are:

An Analytical Minded Individual who will drive the strategic pricing plans for a business group by collaborating with Marketing, Sales and Senior Management to ensure proper targets are set balancing all business objectives You are a forward thinker who will work very closely with the Pitney Bowes Financial Services teams to monitor the performance of the portfolio and recommend, develop and implement actions to adapt to the current environment. This is a very visible and influential member of the Leadership team contributing to the overall strategy.

You will

  • Work collaboratively with the business teams, setting price of core product and analyzing competitive landscape.

  • Set pricing framework utilizing Key pricing tools, Capital Markets Analysis and in depth understanding of the Business Case. Understand and model the impact of new products on the business portfolio accounting for Price, Volume and Share shifts.

  • Coordinate with Sr. Management to ensure regular customer feedback is incorporated into pricing policies through surveys, focus groups or other means.

  • Develop (compliant) competitive analysis that provides an understanding of how Wheeler Financial's price and offering compares to others. Understand commercial trends incorporating win-loss data, 3rd party information sources and field interaction. Recommend either strategic or tactical responses to those trends.

  • Work closely with finance teams to forecast quarterly price performance. Set quarterly targets balancing price, volume and share.

  • Work with Sales teams to analyze, create and monitor promotions and to Develop field tools to assist in articulating our products value in the market place.

  • Conduct diagnostics to determine key pricing levers and estimate pricing opportunity.

  • Build consensus with the key stakeholders and drive change.

  • Drive usage of target price setting, incentives and ad hoc tactical issues.

  • Partner with Global and Regional marketing teams on ad hoc pricing projects.

Your background:

As a Pricing Leader, you have:

  • 10 years experience in pricing

  • A strong track record of working collaboratively to tackle cross-functional issues

  • A demonstrated background utilizing Pricing Tools

  • A significant risk or downstream/operational marketing experience

  • Excellent Communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

  • Proven record of accomplishment of establishing and managing project plans, adjusting to changing circumstances. Prioritizes and effectively controls key milestones.

  • In-depth knowledge of product offerings and commercial processes

  • Leadership and influence skills


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field preferred.

The Food Segment Marketing Leader is responsible for developing and telling a story about PerkinElmer's capabilities within the Food segment. He or she creates the marketing strategy, coordinates a variety of marketing execution resources to carry out the plan and ensures alignment with partners across the organization. This is your chance to show your leadership in a growing strategic focus area, that ultimately delivers safer and more enjoyable nourishment around the world. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and leverage an in-depth understanding of customer needs within the Food segment * Build the Food segment marketing plan to support and grow the business, prioritize and align target audiences, developing effective messaging and building content architecture. Work with Portfolio and Global Campaign teams to deliver audience centric messaging and content for campaigns. * Monitor industry trends (e.g. industry regulations, technology trends, macroeconomic conditions, business processes, challenges) and terminology, and act as an industry subject matter expert * Write or curate content in the industry vernacular (e.g. playbooks, case studies, blog posts, sales training materials) * Map out the customer buying process; isolate nuances and specific buying patterns * Contribute to or build industry-specific buyer personas, or refine existing buyer personas based on industry knowledge * Identify target accounts within the industry * Build relevant content for industry inbound and outbound marketing activities * Establish Food segment working groups across key levels and functions * Manage two direct reports and optimize additional formal and informal resources within the team * Coordinate the integration of marketing support staff during business unit consolidation Qualifications: * Strong business acumen * Strong understanding of the global agricultural supply, manufacture, testing and regulatory landscape * Comfortable working with technical, scientists * Strong administrative and management skills, including prioritization of multiple projects and objectives * Leadership ability to motivate close-in and extended team members * Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations * Ability to conduct market and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities * Ability to create value propositions and messaging strategies * Ability to link product launches to organizational campaign themes and goals * Strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills * Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning offerings * Empathetic to buyers, customers, users and sales resources * Minimum 7-8 years product or portfolio marketing experience working in all Marketing channels * Experience working in life or analytical science market required * Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or the sciences, MBA preferred Travel Requirement: * Some (<20%) travel to conferences, sales meetings and customer sites</li> PerkinElmer is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
