Currently, we are looking for a Pricing and Supply Chain Engineer to join the ArcBest team. The Pricing and Supply Chain Engineer analyzes supply chain solution opportunities to meet customer logistics needs while using and interpreting all relevant cost, market, and value-added information. This position also develops, authorizes and executes pricing proposals to support multiple ArcBest business unit objectives and protect corporate yield. In addition, the Pricing and Supply Chain Engineer advises internal and external customers on desired pricing and marketing approach.

Your contribution may include:

• Work directly with Sales and other departments to determine the optimal level of price and service for existing and potential accounts.

• Understand various ArcBest business units/services and their respective pricing structure and objectives.

• Determine cost projections and/or potential efficiency improvements on both new and existing business opportunities.

• Develop, negotiate, and implement rate increases for ArcBest customers.

• Evaluate and analyze single and multi-subsidiary transportation bids by providing rate proposals utilizing various ArcBest business units in order to meet customer's complex supply chain needs.

• Negotiate and interpret contractual agreements for ArcBest customers.

• Represent the Pricing and Supply Chain team on customer conference calls and site visits.

• Direct continuing Profit and Yield Improvement Programs while incorporating unique value-of-service, cost and market-based objectives.

• Execute initiatives to penetrate and monitor business in the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) market and serve as a primary point of contact for select 3PLs.

• Improve quality, productivity, and effectiveness through the Quality Process.

• Gain and improve knowledge of pricing requirements, applications, associated internal standards, and processes across ArcBest business units.

• Execute detailed instructions for pricing agreements while ensuring publication and loading accuracy.

• Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment while driving desired results.

• Work in a team setting to accomplish corporate, departmental and individual goals.

• Help train new engineers, as needed.

• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Pricing and Supply Chain Engineer, you will be a member of the ArcBest Yield: Pricing team in Fayetteville, AR. Generally your work hours will fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload and customer deadlines.

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering. Other Engineering degrees and majors with a strong analytical background, such as Business Data Analytics, will be considered.

Experience: Superior analytical and leadership skills.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most notably in Microsoft Excel. Ability to learn new systems quickly. Ability to use spreadsheets, computer models, and computer-generated reports.
