Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting FIFCO USA's National Account Sales team in terms of price execution at retail. Responsibilities include conducting price audits, producing pricing reports and analytics, identifying new pricing opportunities to grow margin and/or volume, and educating the sales team to develop their business acumen as it relates to Revenue Management.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct virtual price audits focused on chain accounts via IRI & VIP.

  • Identify gaps to target price point (+/-) versus our internal benchmark & competitive set.

  • Communicate price gaps to Sales team for corrective action with wholesalers, buyers, and store managers.

Conduct in market chain price audits using Sales Execution software.

  • Two audit trips per quarter (eight per year).

  • Identify gaps to target price point (+/-) versus our internal benchmark & competitive set.

  • Communicate price gaps to Sales team for corrective action with wholesalers, buyers, and store managers.

Identify chain Quantity Discount (QD) opportunities, specifically in the liquor and drug channels.

Identify price opportunities within chains using promotional activity and heuristics (ex. post-offs, 2 for's, X for $Y, $X off when you do Y, MIRs, etc.)

Conduct Post Promotional Analysis (PPA) of all economic chain promotions to ensure appropriate levels of ROI (MIRs, Scans/IRCs, BOGOs, etc.)

Identify pack-price white spaces within geographies, channels, and chains for future distribution opportunities.

Produce monthly National Account pricing reports and analysis.

Communicate new item pricing to National Account team.

Educate and train National Account Sales team in matters related to Contribution Margin, Mix Management, Promotion Optimization, Post-Promotional Analysis, and other items as needed.

Skills/Competencies/Education

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, business discipline such as Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred.

Experience:
3-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably within the beer or consumer packaged goods industry.

Pricing and/or Revenue Management background strongly preferred.

Sales Operations experience preferred.

Experience presenting to groups of 10 or more.

Skills/Competencies:

Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence Tools.

Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge required.

Advanced analytical capabilities, including algebraic and statistical.

Excellent analytical skills, judgment, and keen attention to detail.

Ability to present complex data in a concise, clear, and actionable way.

Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

Written and verbal communication skills necessary to convey information to all stakeholders.

Positive attitude and driven by obtaining results.

Ability to work independently and to effectively interface with, and influence, internal stakeholders to resolve potential issues involving commercial business objectives.

Ability to approach, coordinate, and respond to various stakeholders in a timely manner in a faced-paced setting of high-volume projects with tight deadlines.

Travel Requirements:
15 20%

Position Summary: The Pricing Analyst will analyze the client's energy consumption data to determine the products and services offered by NRG Advisory Services that best fit the customer, along with the associated value proposition. Evaluations will include but are not limited to, electricity and natural gas supply purchasing, demand response and other energy market programs, and distributed energy resources. Principal Responsibilities: * Analyze the client's energy consumption data for available services. The analysis includes annual size, daily consumption pattern, seasonality, and efficiency * Analyze client's load profile to prepare and submit RFPs for energy supply contracts * Create proposals and supporting analysis for presentation to clients, including; energy tariff analysis, current contract analysis, forward capacity analysis, and analyzing the energy future's market utilizing various market data, such as; Natural Gas futures, electric futures, generation sources, transmission projects, and state and federal regulations. * Support sales staff in identifying and evaluating client opportunities, and help to define their value to potential clients * Interface with clients on an as-needed basis throughout the sales process and in post-contract relationship management Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in economics, math, statistics, finance, or another related field * Experience working with both internal stakeholders in a team atmosphere and external clients in a relationship management role * Expertise in electricity and natural gas commodity contracts, demand response programs, ancillary market programs, and distributed energy resources * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail * Analytical background and problem-solving skills * Previous experience demonstrating an aptitude to learn quickly and be flexible #SF-IND #LI-KW NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace.
