This role provides analysis of market pricing for Specialty's drug portfolio, collects competitive intelligence, and implements pricing changes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Logs incoming competitive intelligence on pharmaceutical pricing and notifies other members of the Generics pricing team on movement of key drugs.

  • Assesses customer price change requests taking into account competitive information, margins, and other factors, and implements and checks any price loads.

  • Proposes general price changes based on competitive intel, market share, and customer sales, in response to reimbursement changes or for general competitive advantage.

  • Loads and reviews general pricing changes and works with Marketing on customer communications.

  • Reviews manufacturer price increases and recommends price adjustments to be implemented in a timely manner.

  • Supports the buy-side team in setting up pricing for new manufacturer additions, taking into consideration market share commitments.

  • Provides quarterly reports for state societies detailing spend based on a representative product list, savings from price changes, and changes to primary products.

  • Ensures timely and accurate loads of state society off-invoice discounts.

  • Adds and updates information for upcoming product launches, including estimated launch dates, sizes and concentrations, and manufacturers.

  • Maintains business pricing rules and checks and clears orders flagged as possible violations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience

  • Typically requires 4+ years of professional experience

Critical Skills

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency analyzing and manipulating data in various systems (Excel, SAP, etc)

  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and place extreme focus on data accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and transform data into recommendations based on various market factors

  • Prior success in building effective business partnerships and establishing strong relationships within a cross-functional team

  • Strong finance and business acumen

  • Advanced MS Office skills required. Experience using SAP and Tableau workbook creation/editing highly desired.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate banking software applications and related websites. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confront and address sensitive topics while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact. Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of banking and employment policies, procedures, laws and regulations as related to risk management. * Developed critical thinking skills, decision making and analytical skills. Minimum Qualifications/Experience: * 2 years' experience in a banking, investigative, or risk management role; OR * a combination of related work experience and education or training. Formal Education & Certification: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, risk management, human resources, or related field preferred.
