The Team:

Our Global Sales Operations team provides operations, planning, and analytics support to our worldwide Sales teams. The Sales Operations team is part of the Cognex Finance team. Cognex is a global, publicly-traded manufacturer and marketer of advanced integrated technology products whose 2017 annual revenue grew to over $700 million. We are investing aggressively to fuel our growth and have an excellent team with members who have gained diversified experience during their tenure in the company.

The Role:

Cognex is looking for motivated undergraduates to join our Global Sales Operations team and begin their career as a Cognoid. The role will provide Pricing analytics support to our Americas sales teams, along with potential to also drive worldwide pricing strategy and reporting.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth regular analyses on pricing performance and develop reports for sales teams and business units

  • Identify opportunities for pricing improvements and support sales teams to execute

Analyze and report on margin impacts of pricing behavior

  • Perform competitive pricing analyses

  • Provide real-time support on pricing history and customer information for sales teams executing deals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Enthusiasm for learning new analytical skills, business, and product knowledge

  • Strong interest in learning how pricing and sales work

  • A team player with the ability to work independently

  • Self-starter who demonstrates confidence working cross functionally

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Basic familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Eager to Work hard, Play hard, Move fast!

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Social Sciences with quantitative classwork

  • 3.2 minimum cumulative GPA

  • Internship experience is a plus

  • Extra-curricular involvement
