1.Manages day-to day activities of assigned behavioral health program. Participates in program planning and evaluation.
2.Coordinates and oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to facilitate optimal functioning of the program.
3.Oversees the development and implementation of treatment modalities and performs assessments to monitor their performance.
4.Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff. Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
5.Arranges staff training to foster optimal therapeutic interaction with patients.
6.Develops, recommends and monitors approved department budgets.
7.Monitors census, service delivery, and billing issues and their impacts on revenue generation in order to provide an uninterrupted funding stream for the program.
8.Oversees the maintenance of databases and generates necessary reports. Ensures documentation is in accordance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
9.May provide direct clinical and related services to patients, as required.
10. Ensures all licensed, registered and/or certified employees maintain current and active credentials and prepares for audits.
11. Performs related duties, as required.
Master's Degree preferred in Behavioral Health discipline.
Currently a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) OR licensed in New York State in one (1) of the following,:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible related work experience, required, including supervisory experience to ensure familiarity with program operation in a healthcare setting.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications, required.
