Prevention Program Field Representative

The individual selected for this position will work with the Prevention Division Central Office, but will be located in Enid, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS).

The individual will work under general supervision, monitor existing strategies and provide technical assistance in the area of primary prevention with a focus on population-based change utilizing public health principles.

The ideal candidate should be able to apply change theory principles to strategic planning processes aimed at achieving outcomes. The individual will promote innovative complex solutions to solve complex problems.

Additional duties consist of ensuring compliance with ODMHSAS standards, evidence based strategy requirements and other applicable governing/codified standards in managing and delivering prevention services.


Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Public Administration, Education or related degree and four years professional experience in public or behavioral health, of which two years must be in substance abuse prevention or related prevention experience. OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: No substitution for bachelor's degree.


Preference may be given to applicants who possess one of the following: Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) or similar license in a behavioral health field.

VIEW JOBS 10/26/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-24T00:00 SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Field Services Technician I is to provide desk-side end-user support and service request support. Support will require in-depth knowledge of PC hardware, desktop operating systems options and settings, network printer/scanner/fax support, VPN/Wireless support and network functionality. In addition, intermediate knowledge of end-user applications is also required. The Field Services Technician II is the principal owner of the service request/incident as well as the customers overall satisfaction. In instances where a call cannot be resolved, appropriate escalation processes must be followed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. JOB DUTIES * Provide prompt initial response to all assigned service requests. * Troubleshoot the system problem and complete repair in a timely and efficient manner, insuring minimal recurrence of problem (rework). * Troubleshoot advanced software applications and hardware issues, including Bromium, Lync Room Systems, and Engineering and Scientific applications. * If unable to repair on initial visit, validate the users problem and provide information on a temporary work around, if necessary, to allow the customer to continue to work, until the system is repaired. * Effectively use remote assistant tools, knowledge base, and other tools as needed and available to diagnose and repair customer issues within target time limits. * Provide customer with regular communication regarding status of repair/install including notification when repairs are complete, as well as customer validation that the repair is satisfactorily completed. * Communicate with customer appropriate advice and techniques to avoid future incidents of a similar nature as applicable. * Appropriately document all required information into the call tracking system. * Ensure system is appropriately secured (case is locked, system password protected, etc.). * Complete site-specific preventative maintenance checklist. * Escalate the service request/incident to the appropriate IT support for resolution if problem cannot be handled within provided time constraints. * Meet required productivity expectations, including site specific service metrics. * Partner with team members to communicate new solutions and assist other technicians when call volume is low. * Participate in IT projects. * Achieve and maintain knowledge of all applicable site procedures. * Exercise appropriate workflow and time management. * Maintain outstanding customer service. * Provide technical support assistance and advice for Field Services Technicians I. * Assist with training new hires, or new Tier II team members. * Perform related tasks as needed or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Working knowledge of PC operations which include hardware, software, network settings, operations system, and MS Office applications is required. * Proven track record of delivering superior customer service. * Experience with a ticketing system like Remedy, CA Service Desk, or Service Now preferred. * Individuals must possess fluent verbal and written communication skills using the English language. * Experience in a clinical or medical environment preferred. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE * High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent is required. * Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience is preferred. * Two years of PC support, diagnostic/troubleshooting and repair experience is required. * A+ certification required, must obtain within the first three months of hire if not already certified. * HDI certification preferred. * Employee should be trained in the prevailing operating system and hardware systems used at each the client site. * Certifications may be required once employed. * Formal customer service and technical training may be required. WORK CONDITIONS * Required to sit for extended periods of time. * Required to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods of time. * Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components. * You must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance and up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. * Must have reliable transportation, as this is a Regional Facility and travel may include up to 70 miles in distance.
