Prevention Program Field Representative
The individual selected for this position will work with the Prevention Division Central Office, but will be located in Enid, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS).
The individual will work under general supervision, monitor existing strategies and provide technical assistance in the area of primary prevention with a focus on population-based change utilizing public health principles.
The ideal candidate should be able to apply change theory principles to strategic planning processes aimed at achieving outcomes. The individual will promote innovative complex solutions to solve complex problems.
Additional duties consist of ensuring compliance with ODMHSAS standards, evidence based strategy requirements and other applicable governing/codified standards in managing and delivering prevention services.
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Public Administration, Education or related degree and four years professional experience in public or behavioral health, of which two years must be in substance abuse prevention or related prevention experience. OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: No substitution for bachelor's degree.
Preference may be given to applicants who possess one of the following: Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) or similar license in a behavioral health field.
