As a Preventative Maintenance Manager supporting our manufacturing site, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of ongoing preventative maintenance activities, crafting multiple processes to improve and establish the site preventative maintenance program, and aiming to improve the completion speed and quality of project management activities at Johns Creek, GA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Supervising the preventative maintenance team for the LS3 platform
Establishing a robust and standardized TPM program with a primary focus on crafting new preventative maintenance processes as well as revising current processes and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to help deliver longer runtime
Proving processes to evaluate MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) for components on an ongoing basis and developing a strategy to help increase MTBF
Scheduling external vendors as needed for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
Ensuring the plant machinery and equipment are in a safe and reliable operating condition by completing preventative, planned, and corrective maintenance requirements
Creating and maintaining a compliant and safe working environment by following all internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures
Optimally leading internal or external resources to maintain the machine operations under engineering and quality requirements
Being responsible for plant reliability for industrial optimization to continuously improve uptime through improved equipment operation, maintenance practices, and upgrades
Reviewing daily production effectiveness to find opportunities for improvement and working with the maintenance, operations, facilities, and engineering teams to identify prevention actions that drive long-term sustainment action plans
Driving industry 4.0 process at the site to establish a predictive maintenance program
Leading and organizing the spare parts inventory and budget, and working to establish the optimal part quantities and re-order points to eliminate downtime due to part unavailability
Continuously developing and improving the plant's maintenance process so that it is effective in reducing unplanned downtime and cost while increasing machine productivity and enhancing throughput
Handling headcount on direct-report teams and developing, retaining, as well as hiring staff
Working with Maximo and other software to supervise maintenance processes
Handling the on-site parts repair/rebuild program
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+ 9 yrs; M.S.+ 2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant Experience
3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 1st Shift: 8:00 AM EST - 5:00 PM EST, due to fluctuating business work hours could vary
Relocation is Authorized
