POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
Under limited supervision, documents the necessary preventive maintenance that is required for key production and facility equipment. Key objectives are maximizing uptime, maximizing through put, while promoting a lean 5S work environment
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Creates preventive maintenance documents for key production and facility equipment using the computerized maintenance management system.
Collects/enters equipment data for the CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System (Epicor), and monitors the preventive maintenance program to insure maximum uptime.
Works directly with production operators, departmental supervisors and maintenance technicians while developing the preventive maintenance for equipment.
Performs ultrasonic and infrared testing on key production equipment in order to make recommendations on equipment repair before equipment failure.
Leads the key production equipment team who focus on uptime, maximizing equipment availability and throughput. Trains and promotes preventative, Autonomous and predictive maintenance.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Minimum: High School diploma
Preferred: Associate's degree or two year certificate in machine repair, automation, or within an electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic discipline.
Minimum: Two to five years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or related experience.
Preferred: Five to seven years of electro-mechanical maintenance with two or more years preventive maintenance experience. Two or more years developing preventive maintenance systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of machine parts and there functions.
Knowledge of facilities maintenance functions.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures.
Knowledge of safety procedures.
Written and verbal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft office, Word, outlook and Excel
Strong organization skills.
Problem solving ability.
Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
