Summary:

The Pret Team Lead for is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders, maintaining a friendly, efficient, and appealing environment for associates and customers, providing guidance to other associates on proper procedures within the unit, and assisting in the day-to- day operations of the stores. Responsibilities also include welcoming all customers, encouraging, through leadership and example, the highest level of sales and customer service performance by other associates, assisting associates to maximize sales and customer service through training, coaching, and mentoring, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management. This is a non-exempt position which reports to a Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Successfully completes the scheduled training to cover all Pret stations.

  • Leads Pret Speed of Service Principles.

  • Positively engages with customers and team while taking and serving food and beverage orders; follows 6 Key Points of Service and Production.

  • Operates cash register and receives payment from guest in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change as required, and follows all HMSHost and the brand's guest service and cash handling policies and procedures.

  • Works in a variety of kitchen-related functions to include but is not limited to prepping food, making sandwiches, baking bread and washing dishes.

  • Prepares and serves coffee beverages to brand standards.

  • Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintains a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit.

  • Provides training and guidance to associates on proper portion control in the preparation of food, and monitors whether proper food handling procedures, as outlined by Management and the brand, are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products and mentoring where any deficiencies exist.

  • Assists the Manager or Supervisor with maintaining a friendly, efficient, and appealing environment for associates and customers.

  • Develops a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit.

  • Cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Requires a minimum of 6 months cash handling and customer service experience

  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner

  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions

  • Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs

  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests

  • Must be customer focus, a team player and be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and some holidays.
