Specific Duties and
Remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets,folded signatures, labels or other in-process product from discharge unit ofprinting press or adhesive coating equipment.
Review signatures for smearing, register issues,bad folds, etc and notify the Pressroom.
Remove folded signatures from web press and placesignatures on pallet or skid for removal to warehouse or binding areas.
May adjust stacking mechanism on press accordingto paper dimensions. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, cartsand trays.
Conveys materials from storage or work sites todesignated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other device.
Counts, weighs, and records number of units ofmaterials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materialsor marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles andbands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.
May use automated equipment and/or operateindustrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials andproducts.
Mayassist Press Crew with make-ready of the equipment such as retrieving plates,hanging plates, recycling/storing plates etc.
May perform in process quality checks of printedmaterials looking for blemishes, scratches or other print defects.
Perform other jobrelated duties.
1.HighSchool Diploma or equivalency is preferred but not required. May be substitutedwith previous manufacturing experience.
1.Atleast 6 months of recent consecutive work history with the same employer, in amanufacturing, industrial, or agricultural setting is required.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts in an industrial setting that can reach high temperatures.
Must have the ability to safely lift up to 80 lbs. during the work shift.

Knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identificationcodes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able toplace or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standardprocedures.
Able to stock, move, jog, arrange, unload, countand rotate items on/off printing press equipment in accordance with operatinginstructions or under guidance of a press operator or supervisor.
May require knowledge of operation of automaticcounters and tabulate counts for jobs.
Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stockdescription, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements forincoming and outgoing materials.
Skilled in the use of manual dollies, carts, orhand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers,pliers, strapping, and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners,metal band sheers, and related equipment.
