Job Summary

Processes quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Prepares production equipment for operation by making equipment setup adjustments, assisting with equipment changeovers.

  • Maintains quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspection; completing production control charts; analyzing recordings and making equipment adjustments.

  • Helps trains others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures.

  • Maintains machine operation by solving production process problems; making equipment adjustments; reporting production and quality data; reporting decisions made; referring questions to the supervisor.

  • Maintains production operations by following policies and procedures (equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods); reporting needed changes.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and repairs.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed through cooperation with team members and acceptance of re-assignments as directed by supervisors.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to follow instructions and communicate well.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.

  • Must be able to comprehend and use basic math.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions

This position is performed in a warehouse environment. This role may work near mechanical parts and in covered/outside weather conditions including a dusty environment.

We ensure the highest printing quality, exceptional service, timely delivery, and capacity to meet the needs of any size issuer, from small runs to quantities in the millions.</p><p>As a Fiserv Senior Press Operator, you will operate a Komori Lithrone 8-color offset press. Our printing presses are used to produce high quality 4-color plus Pantone secured cards. You will be responsible for the set up and operation of the printing press, perform quality checks, confirm quantity produced, and ensure the batch is correct per the job ticket.</p><p>What you will do:</p><ul><li><p>Set up, operate, and tend to machines used in the process of personalizing credit cards and prepare them to be mailed.</p></li><li><p>Working with associates in team effort to further company goals concerning productivity, safety, security, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Participate in the team cross-training including learning different machines and equipment.</p></li><li><p>Examine job ticket to determine quality to be printed, stock specification, and color instructions.</p></li><li><p>Feed raw material into semi-automated machines, along with color fill and replenishing ink fountains.</p></li><li><p>As necessary, inspect, align, and maintain print rolls to achieve proper ink applications, quality check.</p></li></ul><p>What you will need to have:</p><ul><li><p>Basic computer skills (data entry, PC navigation) and uses hands to handle, finger, or feel objects and to perform keyboarding</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language</p></li><li><p>Ability to stand 95% of your shift and lift between 20 to 50 pounds</p></li><li><p>Successful performance requires good vision including close vision for accurate attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Ability to work weekends, overtime, and holidays</p></li></ul><p>What would be great to have:</p><ul><li><p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Experience in a fast paced, high volume production environment and understanding of production concepts.</p></li><li><p>A team player that works well with others but can also work independently</p></li></ul><p>We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
