The President is the principal executive officer of Alutiiq Professional Consulting, LLC (APC) and, subject to the Member's oversight, is vested with complete management and control of the daily operations and affairs of APC. The President has the power and authority to do all things necessary or proper to carry out the purposes of APC. The President, as the senior executive of APC, will be headquartered from a Corporate Office located in either Anchorage AK, or Huntsville AL. The President reports directly to the President/CEO of Afognak Native Corporation (ANC). APC is a wholly owned subsidiary of ANC. The ANC CEO, as the member representative, provides the APC President with Board level strategic guidance and performs oversight functions.
The President, through the APC Business Manager and Consulting Supervisors, manages the day to day consulting activities of APC. The President establishes policy, develops and implements administrative procedures, and controls companywide infrastructure and administrative activities. This position requires a seasoned leader with a progressive record of success and increasing responsibilities centered on providing consulting support services within the US Government service based contracting environment.
Management and Supervision of APC Operations.
Prepares and manages APC's annual operating budget
Monitors the efforts of Consulting Supervisors as they oversee the assignment of employees providing consulting services to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries and ensures compliance with the relevant Consulting Agreements (CAs).
Monitors profit and loss of APC using input from the APC Business Manager and Consulting Supervisors.
Provides Oversight of Consulting Services Leadership and Staff
Oversees the on-boarding of employees to APC who will provide consulting services to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries.
Investigates and resolves any issues and operational conflicts that arise with employees providing consultant services.
Offers support and expertise to Consulting Supervisors in their investigation and resolution of any issues and operational conflicts that arise with the employees providing consulting services.
Monitors and works with the APC Business Manager and Consulting Supervisors along with Alutiiq Corporate Staff to resolve concerns raised by consultant employees via Alutiiq's third-party Hotline
Provides consultants to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries as needed to assist in the performance of certain technical, operational, and operations management efforts.
Annually reviews CAs between APC and customers, and between APC and Alutiiq, between APC and ANC, and coordinates any required changes with the Alutiiq Legal and the Alutiiq Subsidiary Development Teams.
Procures common administrative services from Alutiiq, LLC and ANC through ICSAs
Annually reviews ICSAs between APC and Alutiiq, and coordinates any required changes with the Alutiiq Legal and Subsidiary Development Teams.
Sets the Strategic Vision for APC
Leads subordinate managers; guiding the pursuit and capture of new consulting business, and the retention of existing consulting efforts, to ensure alignment with ANC's broader strategies; monitoring consulting effort performance against strategic plans; providing coaching and direction; and otherwise providing leadership toward success.
Develops APC's strategic development plan, in consultation with the ANC CEO and the Alutiiq, LLC COO.
Communicates strategic vision to all subordinate managers, providing leadership to drive profitable consulting opportunities and results in consulting support operations.
Participates in APC's development of consulting support proposals.
Reviews, approves and executes APC's consulting support proposals.
Provides oversight of New CAs and Consulting Effort Start-Ups
Participates, as required, in APC's new CA kick-off meetings and provides directions as required to the Consulting Supervisors and APC Business Manager.
Leads new CA start-up efforts either directly or by assigning Consulting Supervisors or other personnel to perform those duties.
Provides oversight of CAs awarded to APC
Executes, through oversight of Consulting Supervisors, all CAs (including any modifications) awarded to APC.
Interviews, selects and on-boards direct reports, and monitors other employment-related actions by Consulting Supervisors, the APC Business Manager or other individuals who are employed by the APC in positions not providing consulting work.
Visits consultant work sites as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and successful consulting agreement performance.
Ensures agreement and regulatory compliance for all of APC's CAs.
Monitors, through oversight of the APC Business Manager, The APC budget and organizational schedules.
Serves as the primary point of contact with the customer or delegates this responsibility to the APC Business Manager or Consulting Supervisors.
Assists Consulting Supervisors with resolution of any customer disputes.
Provides Liaison between employees providing consulting services and Corporate Leadership and Corporate Staff
Reports status of consulting activities to ANC's CEO through verbal and written updates using information provided by the Consulting Supervisors and the APC Business Manager
Ensures that all employees providing consulting services are afforded a safe and secure working environment by working with the customer and Alutiiq, LLC Safety or delegates this role to the Consulting Supervisors
Reviews Monthly General Manager Reports and Project Status Reports generated by the APC Business Manager and coordinates resolution of any issues identified
Implements and executes the corporate mentoring and training program for APC non-consultant employees in order to advance the professional knowledge and expertise of company employees.
Reports company's financial and project status to the ANC CEO as the member representative on a quarterly basis
Approves retention of consulting services in cases where APC's business activities and operations warrant those services.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum 10+ years of proven experience working for and supporting government contractors, of which several years are as a manager of employees providing consulting services.
Possess an understanding of consulting services to support Professional Services contracts and doing business within the federal government sector throughout the US and Internationally.
Demonstrated record of successfully managing P&Ls with Revenue in excess of $10M.
Must be a strong and agile leader with proven ability to work effectively across functional groups of the organization.
Must have and maintain a Top Secret Government Security Clearance
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel); ability to create and edit high quality written deliverables
Demonstrated problem solving skills and out of the box thinking
Bachelors' degree required; Masters' degree preferred.
