The President is the principal executive officer of Alutiiq Employee Leasing, LLC (AEL) and, subject to the Member's oversight, is vested with complete management and control of the daily operations and affairs of AEL. The President has the power and authority to do all things necessary or proper to carry out the purposes of AEL. The President, as the senior executive of AEL, will be headquartered from a Corporate Office located in either Anchorage AK, or Huntsville AL. The President reports directly to the President/CEO of Afognak Native Corporation (ANC). AEL is a wholly owned subsidiary of ANC. The ANC CEO, as the member representative, provides the AEL President with Board level strategic guidance and performs oversight functions.
The President, through the AEL Business Manager and Field Supervisors, manages the day to day employee leasing activities of AEL. The President establishes policy, develops and implements administrative procedures, and controls companywide infrastructure and administrative activities. This position requires a seasoned leader with a progressive record of success and increasing responsibilities centered on providing employee leasing support services within the US Government service based contracting environment.
Management and Supervision of AEL Operations.
Prepares and manages AEL's annual operating budget
Monitors the efforts of Field Supervisors as they oversee the assignment of leased employees to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries and ensures compliance with the relevant Employee Leasing Agreements (ELAs).
Monitors profit and loss of AEL using input from the AEL Business Manager and Field Supervisors.
Provides Oversight of Operational Leasing Leadership and Staff
Oversees the on-boarding of employees to AEL who will be leased to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries.
Investigates and resolves any issues and operational conflicts that arise with leased employees.
Offers support and expertise to Field Supervisors in their investigation and resolution of any issues and operational conflicts that arise with the leased employees.
Monitors and works with the AEL Business Manager and Field Supervisors along with Alutiiq Corporate Staff to resolve concerns raised by leased employees via Alutiiq's third-party Hotline
Provides leased employees to Alutiiq, LLC and its subsidiaries as needed to assist in the performance of certain technical, operational, and operations management efforts.
Annually reviews ELAs between AEL and customers, and between AEL and Alutiiq, between AEL and ANC, and coordinates any required changes with the Alutiiq Legal and the Alutiiq Subsidiary Development Teams.
Procures common administrative services from Alutiiq, LLC and ANC through ICSAs
Annually reviews ICSAs between AEL and Alutiiq, and coordinates any required changes with the Alutiiq Legal and Subsidiary Development Teams.
Sets the Strategic Vision for AEL
Leads subordinate managers; guiding the pursuit and capture of new leasing business, and the retention of existing leasing work, to ensure alignment with ANC's broader strategies; monitoring employee leasing effort performance against strategic plans; providing coaching and direction; and otherwise providing leadership toward success.
Develops AEL's strategic development plan, in consultation with the ANC CEO and the Alutiiq, LLC COO.
Communicates strategic vision to all subordinate managers, providing leadership to drive profitable leasing opportunities and results in employee leasing operations.
Participates in AEL's development of leasing proposals.
Reviews, approves and executes AEL's leasing proposals.
Provides oversight of New ELAs and Employee Leasing Effort Start-Ups
Participates, as required, in AEL's new ELA kick-off meetings and provides directions as required to the Field Supervisors and AEL Business Manager.
Leads new ELA start-up efforts either directly or by assigning Field Supervisors or other personnel to perform those duties.
Provides oversight of ELAs awarded to AEL
Executes, through oversight of Field Supervisors, all ELAs (including any modifications) awarded to AEL.
Interviews, selects and on-boards direct reports, and monitors other employment-related actions by Field Supervisors, AEL Business Managers or other individuals who are employed by the AEL in positions not subject to leasing.
Visits leased employee work sites as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and successful leasing agreement performance.
Ensures agreement and regulatory compliance for all of AEL's ELAs.
Monitors, through oversight of the AEL Business Manager, The AEL budget and organizational schedules.
Serves as the primary point of contact with the customer or delegates this responsibility to the AEL Business Manager or Field Supervisors.
Assists Field Supervisors with resolution of any customer disputes.
Provides Liaison between leased employees and Corporate Leadership and Corporate Staff
Reports status of leasing activities to ANC's CEO through verbal and written updates using information provided by the Field Supervisors and the AEL Business Manager
Ensures that all leased employees are afforded a safe and secure working environment by working with the customer and Alutiiq, LLC Safety or delegates this role to the Field Supervisors
Reviews Monthly General Manager Reports and Project Status Reports generated by the AEL Business Manager and coordinates resolution of any issues identified
Implements and executes the corporate mentoring and training program for AEL non-leased employees in order to advance the professional knowledge and expertise of company employees.
Reports company's financial and project status to the ANC CEO as the member representative on a quarterly basis
Approves retention of consulting services in cases where AEL's business activities and operations warrant those services.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum 10+ years of proven experience working for and supporting government contractors, of which several years are as a manager of leased employee assets.
Possess an understanding of leasing employees to support Professional Services contracts and doing business within the federal government sector throughout the US and Internationally.
Demonstrated record of successfully managing P&Ls with Revenue in excess of $10M.
Must be a strong and agile leader with proven ability to work effectively across functional groups of the organization.
Must have and maintain a Top Secret Government Security Clearance
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel); ability to create and edit high quality written deliverables
Demonstrated problem solving skills and out of the box thinking
Bachelors' degree required; Masters' degree preferred.
