Wood is currently recruiting for Preservation Coordinators to participate in planning and execution of receiving inspections of equipment for warehouses and module fabrication shops in Anchorage, Alaska, and as required, the North Slope.
Local candidates to Anchorage preferred please, as there is no relocation assistance or per diem offered. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.
Attend authorized inspections of preservation, packing and shipping of critical equipment and skids at vendor shops in Alaska
Participate in planning and execution of receiving inspections of equipment for warehouses and module fabrication shops in in Alaska, and, as required, North Slope
Review and execute packing, preservation and maintenance requirements for material and equipment purchased
Check compliance with purchase order requirements of material and equipment
Identify and prevent possible non-conformities according to Project Specifications
Issue of Inspection Reports and Packing & Preservation Checksheets after each inspection visit
Provide oversight to equipment preservation activities of vendors and contractors. Ensure that all preservation and maintenance activities required for all equipment are executed according to the plan and procedures
Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., inspectors, logistics/warehouse, package engineers, construction, commissioning) and verify that suppliers follow project preservation requirements
Complete inspection checksheets to verify that vendors follow the project preservation requirements and supplier specific requirements
Participate in continuous improvement of the Project Preservation Program
Qualifications:
Good understanding of mechanical equipment (rotating, static and auxiliary systems), ferrous pipes, valves, instrumentation, HVAC, safety, electrical and controls systems
Working knowledge of material management process
Previous experience with providing oversight of the preservation and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems from receipt through handover to commissioning
Have ability to communicate effectively with audiences e.g., management, discipline engineers and designers, clients, vendors, contractors
Have technical knowledge necessary to complete the equipment preservation planning and surveillance
Have ability to perform visual inspections against engineering drawings (general arrangement, lifting and shipping diagrams, BOM, etc.) and relevant project specifications
Familiar with codes and standards
Experience with the interpretation of technical operating manuals, drawings, catalogues, and reports to assist with identification and proactive management of preservation and maintenance schedules, activities, and troubleshooting
