Pre-season Tax Professional

Seeking seasonal tax preparers to serve clients with diverse tax needs during the pre-season.

H&R Block pre-season tax professionals are responsible for preparing complete and accurate tax returns, delivering outstanding client service, and generating business growth by supporting business to business sales activities.

Pre-season Tax Professional duties include:

  • Conducting tax interviews with clients

  • Increasing retention of all clients

  • Offering additional products and services

  • Generating business growth by supporting business to business sales activities

  • Providing IRS audit support & attending audits, as needed

  • Growing tax expertise

  • Mentoring and supporting teammates

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience completing individual returns

  • Tax planning and audit support

  • Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing

  • Knowledge and experience with a Windows-based computer system preferred

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment, H&R Block Income Tax Course, or equivalent²

  • Additional experience for this position is acquired through training upon hiring.

Supply Chain/Logistics Operations- Professional Development Program Professional Development Program – This program focuses on providing you with the opportunity to grow your professional skills along with the Niagara business. The goal of the PDP is to transform recent college graduates into high-performing Individual Contributors in the business. Additionally, the PDP supports the individual's growth through exposure to the business, skill development, and networking opportunities. Specifically, you will participate in monthly learning sessions that will cover topics like time management, professional communication, and emotional intelligence! Over the next 24 months, the program will give you the opportunity to experience several different assignments in a variety of departments in Supply Chain! Rotation Plan PDP participants are assigned a Mentor from their target department during their program. The Rotation Plan will include Load Planning, Logistics Operations, Carrier Relations, and customer service. Each PDP participant is expected to complete a 3-5 month Manufacturing Plant rotation as a requirement of the program.
