The Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of the Lead Teacher and substitute for the Lead Teacher as needed. This teacher will be expected to attend weekly Staff Meetings, arrive on time, and work during the extended day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates lesson plans for specific subjects
Leads small groups; guides students
Assists in classroom management
Assists with field trips, recess and class transitions
Monitors before and after school programs as assigned
Works as a team teacher under the guidance of the lead teacher
Prepares, teaches, and supervises students as directed by the lead teacher
Monitors students in class, on the playground and at lunch
Grades student papers as directed by the lead teacher
Attends all required evening events
Performs other duties as assigned/needed by the Director or Assistant Director
